During the winter the efficiency of heating mostly depends on the condition of the windows. If they are not in good condition, cold drafts will appear. Warm air will pass through them, as a result the temperature in the rooms will decrease and the bills for the heating will increase. In this article we will tell you how to prepare windows for winter.

Try to remember when you have checked the condition of your windows the last time. If they are located on the right, then you need to turn to the right. For winter period the window frame must be pressed very tightly. During the summer it should be weakened.

In addition, you need to adjust the hinge located on the top of the window. For this you need to open the window for ventilation. It is the way how you can use the tool. During the work you should hold the window because it will be kept on a single hinge.

Subsequently, the windows has got some damages, which leads to the appearance of drafts. If you want to prevent them you should use a film or insulation. The first one is quite expensive, and it should be used outside, that’s why it is not the simple and easy way to insulate your windows. The film is stretched over the frame with fastening along the edges with adhesive tape.
