Chelsea could sign Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang ‘quickly’, and are still in the race to sign Frenkie de Jong, which could really help out help West Ham United.

That’s according to Mundo Deportivo (print edition August 26th, page 10) who claim that Chelsea could seal a deal for Aubameyang ‘within the next few hours’.

Meanwhile, The Express claims that Thomas Tuchel is still in the race to bring De Jong to Chelsea from Barcelona.

The Blues have already spent £181 million on six new signings this summer (The Express).

Aubameyang could cost around £25 million (The Sun) whilst De Jong is valued at £63 million (The Express).

And we believe that that £88 million outlay may well help West Ham sign Chelsea duo Armando Broja and Conor Gallagher this summer.

Should Chelsea bring Aubameyang and De Jong to Stamford Bridge, Broja and Gallagher will both fall well down the pecking order in their respective positions.

West Ham boss David Moyes allegedly wants to bring both players to the London Stadium this summer.

The 20-year-old striker and the 22-year-old midfielder would be exceptional signings for the Hammers and would pretty much complete us as a team and a squad.

As things stand, it seems unlikely that the Hammers will be able to sign both Chelsea players.

That could all change if Aubameyang and De Jong join the Blues before deadline day, however.

Broja and Gallagher will undoubtedly both be desperate to play regular football this season and they surely won’t get it at Chelsea if both players arrive from Barcelona this summer.

A move to West Ham from Chelsea may well be the ideal solution for Broja and Gallagher this summer.

In our view though, the chances of that happening will depend heavily on whether or not Chelsea manage to sign Aubameyang and De Jong.

Let’s hope it happens!
