Hey Scottsdale! Are you ready for the long weekend? If so, then give this edition a read as I will be keeping you up-to-date on all the Memorial Day festivities.

And as a daughter of an Army Officer, I would be remiss not to thank all of our military veterans and their families. Between the fun activities, cookouts, and general family gatherings, let us not forget that on Memorial Day we pay special tribute to service members who lost their lives in the line of duty.

As we all know, at this point in the year the weather is basically the same. But, nevertheless, here is your weekend weather:

WEATHER ALERT: Please exercise caught as Red Flag fire warnings are in effect in the northwest of the state. There is also an excessive heat warning in the Valley today which will likely carry over into the weekend. Wear sunscreen, stay indoors or in shaded areas when possible, and bring lots of water if you are spending time outside. And do not forget to pack sufficient water for your pets!
