British stone. George - Fire managers of the Arizona Bureau of Land Management Bureau of Land Management are planning to burn a pile of slash debris in the area near Trumbull Mountain, 65 miles south of St. George.

According to the situation, if weather and fuel conditions permit, the combustion will start in November and continue until April 2022. Incineration aims to reduce the risk of future wildfires and protect culture and natural resources.

During the project in this remote area, smoke may appear. Smoke emissions will be managed in accordance with the regulations of the Arizona Department of Environmental Quality.

It is not expected to be closed, but public access may be restricted during the ignition and spread of the fire to ensure public safety. A notice will be posted to notify the public. Pile burning will be carried out along County Road 5, north of Crosby Reservoir and south of BLM Road 717. It is recommended that drivers be careful when driving in the project area.

Prior to ignition, the prescribed burns must comply with strict weather-related and environmental factors. BLM Arizona Strip firefighters will monitor the site weather and fuel conditions before, during and after the ignition operation, and manage the prescribed fire activities.
